@MPISTL March 2018 – Get to Know Your Board – Bethanie Rivolta

Get to Know Your Board… Bethanie Rivolta, Director of Media and Communications

Meet Bethanie Rivolta, Director of Media and Communications for the MPI St. Louis Area Chapter. She has been a member for four years and became involved immediately because she wanted to ensure her membership was working for her.

Bethanie joined the EduCon Committee mid-way through planning and enjoyed the experience so much, she chaired the committee for two years. She says, “I’ve met so many wonderful people just through my volunteer work with MPI. I’m so happy I made the commitment to this organization.”

Her passion is being a mom. She spends as much time as possible with her 12-year old son. “He is growing up so fast. He is an athlete so I spend a lot of time at the ice rink, lacrosse or baseball field. I love cheering him on!” beams Bethanie.

Bethanie and her fiance (she is recently engaged) purchased a new home last year. She is excited for the spring season, so she can start gardening in her new yard. She also enjoys cooking and her goal for the new year is to create and try new recipes. Bethanie and her family enjoy traveling and want to explore as many new places as they can.

When asked about her latest binge watching, she said, “Stranger Things. I didn’t think that I would like it, but my fiance and I got through both seasons in a weekend. Being kids of the 80’s, it totally has us captivated. We are anxiously awaiting the next season.

@MPISTL February 2018 – Rising Star – Julie Davinroy

Rising Star – Julie Davinroy

This month, we recognize Julie Davinroy as our Rising Star. Julie joined MPI in November 2014 and has been active with the EduCon Committee for the past two years. Having served in different capacities on the committee, Julie has always been an enthusiastic member willing and able to take on any tasks asked of her.

This past year, Julie was asked to lead as a co-chair of the speaker sub-committee for EduCon, which she agreed to do without hesitation. Having never handled this area before and with a short timeline, she took on the job and excelled in the position. Julie was instrumental in getting EduCon 2017 an excellent lineup of speakers with little to no cost. A tremendous feat!

Julie – we thank you for your dedication, not only to EduCon, but to the MPI St. Louis Area Chapter.
